ABOUT
Carson Ellis is the author and illustrator of the bestselling picture books Home and Du Iz Tak? (a Caldecott Honor book and the recipient of an E.B. White Read Aloud Award). She has illustrated a number of books for kids including bestsellers The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart, The Composer Is Dead by Lemony Snicket, and The Wildwood Chronicles by Colin Meloy (who happens to be her husband). Carson has been awarded silver medals by the Society of Illustrators for her work on Wildwood Imperium and on Dillweed's Revenge by Florence Parry Heide. She's the illustrator-in-residence for Colin's band, The Decemberists, and received Grammy nominations in 2016 and 2018 for album art design. She's also an occasional maker of editorial illustration, having worked for The New Yorker, The New York Times, and Poetry Magazine, among many others, and an even more occasional fine artist represented by Nationale in Portland.
Carson lives on a farm in Oregon with Colin, their two sons, one cat, two llamas, two goats, one sheep, ten chickens, a family of barn owls and an unfathomable multitude of tree frogs.

CARTER GOODRICH HAS MADE HIS MARK ON THE CARTOON WORLD

He has as created characters for some of the greatest animated films of all time including, Despicable Me, Shrek, Ratatouille, Hotel Transylvania, Coco, Brave Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc., The CROODS, Spirit , Sinbad , Open Season, and Prince of Egypt. Not to mention, Carter has also created over 20 covers for THE NEW YORKER.





ABOUT 
Carter Goodrich's career as an award winning freelance illustrator began in 1983, when he shared studio space with longtime friend and fellow illustrator, Buck Lewis, in New York City. His book and editorial work eventually led to the publication of seventeen New Yorker covers, and counting. Carter's first role in film work came as lead character designer for DreamWorks' first feature animated film, "Prince of Egypt", in 1995. He then went on to work on such films as "Finding Nemo", "Monsters Inc.", "Shrek", "Spirit", "Sinbad", "Open Season", on which he worked as art director/character design, "Despicable Me" as lead character designer, "Hotel Transylvania", and most recently "The CROODS" and "Brave", both as lead character designer. His work on these films resulted in six ASIFA Annie Award nominations for best character design in a feature animated film, winning the ANNIE in 2007 for "Ratatouille" and again in 2014 for "The CROODS". In addition to his earlier illustrated books, "Nutcracker" (1987) and "A Christmas Carol" (1997), Carter has written and illustrated "A Creature Was Stirring" (2006 Simon & Schuster pub.), "The Hermit Crab" (2009 Simon & Schuster pub., a Junior Library Guild Selection), "Say Hello to Zorro" (2011 Simon & Schuster pub., 2011 Parents' Choice Award, 2011 Editor's Choice Award, 30 Best Children's Books of 2011); "Zorro Gets an Outfit" (2012 Simon & Schuster pub., a Junior Library Guild Selection), and "Mister Bud Wears The Cone" (Simon & Schuster pub.), to be released June 2014.
