KLAS FAHLÉN

illustrator
b 1962 sweden

As a little boy, illustrator Klas Fahlén spent hours drawing Batman and playing football; but when he realized you had to be 6'2" with the stamina of a horse to be a footballer, it became just drawing and painting. And with just a little nagging from his mother he turned it into his full-time profession.Pen and paper, plus a little concentration, is all he needs to realize his ideas, inspiration coming from anything from Picasso to contemporary Swedish illustrator Stina Wirsén. Klas is known for his simple, elegant line drawings - colorful, sharp and peppered with subtle humor. He was born in Sala in 1962, and is now based in Stockholm.
