ABOUT
Chay Cuozzi is a collaboration between artist duo, Chay Cuozzi,and her husband, Robert, graduates of Rhode Island School of Design. Together, with their backgrounds in fine art and design, they bring a wide range of influences to their work, from Abstract Expressionism to Mid-Century Modern. The couple is particularly inspired by such masters as Matisse, Picasso, and Rothko, and equally influenced by the vogue fashions of the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. Their richly colored pendants reflect a modern vibe with couture flair. Each piece is individually cut and shaped by hand then fired at 1800 degrees for 10 hours, blending layers of color to achieve the desired shade and translucency. They source all of their glass from Portland, and silver from Italy. Their works have been displayed in NYC, East Hampton, Washington DC, Santa Fe, and San Francisco.
